Houston is in Texas, in the South, where summers are hot and humid, winters are short, and severe storms in spring are a fact of life; businesses run air conditioning most of the year and many open early to beat the heat. Getting around Houston is easiest by car; street parking is metered in busy downtown areas, and most suburban businesses have their own lot. Ride-share apps such as Uber and Lyft operate across Texas's larger cities, and public transit varies from extensive to minimal.

They have very tasty and affordable vegan and vegetarian Chinese food here. My favorite place for vegetarian food is probably San San Tofu on the Vietnamese side, but this place is good as well and has more options for baked goods and breads. Not that much seating but probably enough for 14 or so people total with very casual seating. I’ve only gotten take out here so far though and tried about 5 different dishes my favorite is the Taiwanese “pork” rice (滷肉飯) and the rice noodle stir fry. There’s a restroom upstairs for the plaza you can take the stairs or elevator or escalator up. The store is located in the plaza but you can’t see it from the outside since this like more like a mall building. 5% charge if you use credit card but no extra fee if you pay cash or Venmo I believe. Sometimes they pick up the phone and sometimes they don’t but the cooked food is pretty fast regardless.

When you arrive at the Dynasty Plaza, IBUN is located on the first floor nearby the escalators in the center. There’s the sweets section directly to the left, but be sure to also check the shelves on the left, refrigerators on the left and right of the register, and the freezer on the right past the seating area. There’s also ready made drinks and a drink menu. I’ve been going here for years, and I always get my birthday party catering done here! My vegan, vegetarian, and non-veggie friends and family all love IBUN alike. Their savory and sweet selection changes, and it always tastes amazing! The prices here are always affordable, and the customer service is wonderful. I always recommend this place to everyone! It’s family owned and deserves so much love.

IBUN always be my first choice to purchase vegan food. The food they offer is a typical taiwanese veggie cuisine. As a taiwanese immigrant, I have to say you must to try their taiwanese veggie bento and veggie fried dumplings. In addition, here is also a LGBTQ 🏳️‍🌈 friendly store, I know it's not easy to operate a business in such conservative neighborhood, thank you for your support 🥰🧑‍🤝‍🧑

This bakery is a paradise for vegetarian and vegan people, though I'm sure non-veg people would love it too. As a vegan, I was not used to having so many options. Got my birthday cake here. The airy, fluffy texture of the cake is something to marvel at! I also very much appreciated how prettily it was decorated. We also got an assortment of buns, which are all tasty. I wholeheartedly recommend the mustard greens bread and the butter/pudding(?)-filled bun with coconut on top. The prices are very reasonable, too, especially considering that these are vegan products. Houston is lucky to have this place.

The staff are some of the loveliest, engaging, professional people. Immediately you are pulled into the bakery by the bright colors aromatic breads, and glowing smiles. Do yourself a favor and don't go hungry, everything is delightful. You will eat the reasonably priced treats, sandwiches, baked goods, and jerky. Try not over do it.
